You can attach files, folders, email addresses and website links (URLs) to your tasks. You can easily open or copy them later.
Swift To-Do List 8 can store both links (shortcuts) to files, or embed the actual files in the database (This has been added in version 7.10).

How to add an attachment
There are many ways to add an attachment to a task.
• | The easiest way to attach a file or folder to a task is to select the task and simply drag & drop the file or folder to the notes panel, or to the attachment panel. |
• | You can also simply copy (Control+C) and then paste (Control+V) the files and folders into the notes panel or into the attachment panel. |
• | Another way is to right-click the notes panel and use the Attachments menu item. This allows you to add emails and website links too. |
• | Yet another way is to use the attachment panel toolbar, but the attachments panel must be displayed. To display the attachments panel, use View -> Attachments -> Always Show. |
• | You can also simply Edit the task that you want add attachments to, and use the Attachments tab. |
Attachments tips & tricks
• | You can Drag and Drop any attachments outside of the attachments panel too, not just inside. |
• | You can fully utilize clipboard (Control+C, Control+V) in the attachments panel. |
• | It is possible to copy or Drag and Drop multiple attachments at the same time. |
• | The attachment panel has two views - Icons and Details. The Details view shows full paths to the attached files and folders. |
• | If you are pasting directly into the attachment panel, you can paste email addresses and website links too, not just files and folders. |
• | If you open embedded attachment, and edit it, Swift To-Do List 8 will ask you if you want to update it in the database. |
