The currently selected to-do list in the tree and the current view mode determine what is shown in the task-view (Filters also affect this).

Swift To-Do List 8 has three different view modes. You can switch between them using the View toolbar button, or using the View menu, or using keyboard shortcuts.

The view modes

1. Selected To-Do List (default) - Only tasks in the to-do list currently selected in the to-do list tree will be shown.

2. Selected To-Do List + Sub-Lists (Control+F2) - Tasks of the currently selected to-do list and tasks in all to-do lists below (it's sub-lists, their sub-lists, and so on) will be shown.

3. All To-Do Lists (Control+F3) - All tasks in all to-do lists will be shown.

Note 1: If you are adding a new task, the task is always placed in the currently selected to-do list, regardless of view mode.

Note 2: View mode does not apply when a memo is selected in the to-do list tree.
