About "Email Task" feature

The Professional Edition of Swift To-Do List has a powerful Email Task feature which allows you to email information about your tasks to selected contact(s). You can email any task to multiple contacts at the same time and send hidden copies, but you can't currently email multiple tasks at once.

The email message is automatically pre-filled using the email template that you can edit. This greatly saves you time, as the default template contains all the necessary information about the task, including all the fields and notes.

Swift To-Do List sends the emails through an outgoing mail (SMTP) server that you have to specify. See Email Settings topic for details.

How to email a task to someone

Step 1: Right-click the task that you want to email to someone and select Email Task.

(Step 2): If you are  using this feature for the first time, you will be asked if you want to set the outgoing mail server first. Select Yes. Please see the Email Settings topic for instructions how to properly set it.

Step 3: The "Email Task" window will be shown.

If the task is assigned to a person with an email address specified, then the To field will be pre-filled, if not, then you have to select the recipient(s) manually: Click the To button. This will display a list of all the contacts that you've added into Swift To-Do List. Click the contact that you want to email the task to. You can select multiple contacts.
If you want to email the task to someone who is not on that list, click New Contact...
If you want to send a hidden copy to someone (eg. yourself), click the BCC button.

(Step 4): You can optionally edit the subject and message that were automatically pre-filled using the email template.

Step 5: Click the "Send" button to send the email. Done! Swift To-Do List will send the email through the outgoing mail server (SMTP) that you've specified in Email Settings.
